Man this week has flown by! I can't believe our little guy is already a week old. This week has been a little crazy for us, but I am happy to say that the house is coming together. We got our carpet in on Friday so we were able to move our bed back into our bedroom and sleep in there. It was a little rough sleeping in the front room with our bed and Carson's bed all squished together not to mention everything else from our room, but we survived! Our house is still a little messy, but we are working on it. Chill has been working to get Carson's nursery put together. His dad has also been over helping him work on the never ending bathroom project. I really do think that it is almost done. There is running water coming from the tap. I think that is a good sign. Chill's mom came over and helped to organize things and to clean up the house a bit. My mom came over and cleaned our bathroom while my sisters hung out with me and Carson. Lexi my niece helped Chill put together some of the baby furniture. We have such great families and they have all been wonderful to us!!! Carson is a little jaundice so we have been dealing with that. We had to go in for a test on Wednesday and we are going to take him in tomorrow because he is still looking a little yellow. I tell you being a mom is a lot of work. I had no idea what I was in for. It's hard, but Carson is worth ever minute. I'm just wondering if I'll ever be able to leave the house. It seems like Carson always wants to eat. Feeding him is very time consuming, but I'm sure we'll get the hang of it eventually. It has been so nice having Chill home. I am dreading next Monday because that is when his next rotation starts. He has been so helpful and very involved in taking care of Carson. It has been so fun to watch him. He is GREAT with Carson! He also gets up in the night and just sits with me when Carson is awake. He has his nights and days really mixed up so we spend a lot of our nights trying to get him back to sleep. We are exhausted but we are surviving. Oh yes and I need to thank my sisters for keeping my blog updated while I have been busy trying to figure everything out. It was so nice that they were able to update it in the hospital. They did a great job! Thanks girls! Well here are a few pictures of this past week.
Another picture of Carson in the sun. Poor little dude!

Ok Stef, that last picture of him is so precious!! What a cutie!!! Austin had jaundice for the first few days too. I was in the doctor office 4 times that first week. I feel for you with the mixed up nights and days. I'm telling you, we really need to get a duplex so we can hang out together during all of our 'single parenting' days. I miss you lots!! I miss the daily phone calls we used to have! Ah, the good old days....! Good luck with Carson. It really does get easier. The first few weeks can just be so overwhelming. Hang in there. Love ya!!

Congrats on your new little guy! There is light at the end of the tunnel with sleeping during the night, I always felt like it never would come. Just give it time. Carson is sure precious, I love his blonde hair! Big boys are the best! The bigger, the cuter!
