Sunday: Chill stayed up with Carson on Saturday night. He didn't go to bed to 4:00 a.m. I'm not sure what the deal was, but he wanted to be up and awake. Sunday morning Chill and I decided he'd stay home with Carson and I could get out for an hour and go to Sacrament meeting and that is what I did. It was nice to be back at church. After church we just hung out and watched some basketball. I think Chill has the whole fatherhood thing down. Check him out. He can watch the game, relax, and hold Carson all at the same time.
Wednesday: Welcome to Motherhood. Well I thought things were going to go smoothly today. Boy was I wrong. I had to run into work for an interview with someone from Headquarters. I had worked it out to have Mindi watch Carson while I went to work. As I was getting ready to pack Carson up I tripped over the couch and fell with Carson in my arms. Luckily we hit the couch on the way down, but I couldn't believe I had fallen practically on top of Carson. I was so worried I had hurt him. After examining him and making sure everything was working properly, we headed to mom and dads. When I got there I heard Mindi cough when I walked in the door. She had a COLD! I decided I couldn't leave him there and that I would just take him with me to the interview. He was pretty tired and I thought for sure he'd fall asleep on the way to work. I fed him and hurried and changed his diaper. Well durning the diaper changed he peed everywhere. I had to hurry and change his clothes because they were all wet. I fed him a little more and while he was eating he filled his pants. Little did I know, he had a major blow out. When I went to change him I noticed it was all up his back. Once again I undressed him and realized I didn't have any other clothes for him. I had min throw his peed on onesie in the dryer and luckily his pants were still clean. He was mismatched but I didn't have a choice. So I got him all cleaned up, changed, packed in the car and off we went. When I stopped the car the crying began. I went into work and I could tell it was not going to be good. I found where I was supposed to be and before the interview even started, he was screaming. I had to pull him out of his carseat and expose his mismatched clothing. Oh it was awful. I tried to feed him a bottle, give him is binki, burp him, rock him, all while trying to answer questions. Needless to say the interview didn't last long and the lady was very sweet about everything. She finally said, "I think I better let you go." I think it was a good idea because we weren't accomplishing much. So once again I packed him up, loaded him in the car, and back home we went. He was so upset on the way home but boy was I glad to be home. I just felt that I needed to be overly good to him the rest of the day because I had put him through so much. Once again I think I over did it with him. This is him after I finally got him to go to sleep. Poor little dude. I just had to laugh and think to myself...Welcome to motherhood!
Thursday: I don't have any pictures from today. I could tell from the minute Carson woke up it was going to be a rough day. He was really fussy and just wanted to be nursing constantly. I let him too because I was hoping he'd get good and full and really tired because I was meeting up with my mother in law Claudia for lunch. I wanted him to just sleep through lunch because I knew if he was awake he'd be crying. Carson woke up around 7 and didn't sleep all morning long. Once again the crying begain when I put him in his carseat. I figured since we had a long drive he would or sure be asleep. When I got to Gardner Village, he was not asleep. I knew he was tired so I thought I'd just leave him in his seat and rock him. I met up with Claudia, Grandma Molly, Lynda, Keelee, and Brooke. Things were good for the first few minutes and then the crying began. He cried and cried and cried. He did stop for a few minutes but for the most part he cried. I finally decided to get up and walk around with him and that seemed to help. Thanks to Keelee she came and took him so that I could eat my lunch. It was fun being with everyone and they were all very understanding of my crying baby. I headed right home after and once again felt I had over done it with him and decided we better stay home as much as possible for the next few weeks. He just does much better at home. He finally fell asleep around 3:15 but he had been awake all day long!
Friday: It seemed like this day might be rough too. Carson was spitting up every time I fed him. I could tell it was going to be a day of "nurse and spit up" and it was. I just feel so bad when he spits up so much. For the most part he was okay but just really fussy. I was worried becasue we were heading out to my parents to celebrate my birthday with everyone. We were going to go out to dinner but I decided it would be better on everyone if we just had take out. When I packed Carson up in the carseat...you can guess, the screaming and crying began. He was doing the fully on crying were he can't catch his breath and of course I hit EVERY read light on the way to pick up Chill. When we picked Chill up I hopped in the back seat so I could calm him down. Poor guy was bright read and his eyes were all swollen from crying. Once again I felt like a bad mother for dragging him around. We got out to my parents and I was able to feed him and he was great the rest of the night. We got Cafe Rio and opened presents. Thanks everyone for the nice gifts. We had a great night!

Holy Crap my dear...no wonder the little guy is all tuckered out! Birthday weeks are always hectic aren't they? Everyone wants to celebrate and with a little one in tow, it makes it very hard to please everyone. I'm so glad you posted pics of the lil guy before he was walking! :) Love ya!
Oh and next week all I want to see on your post is you and peanut laying on the couch watching Ellen. You guys need rest after such an eventful week!
Hey Babe!! I'm so sorry to hear about your crazy week. Those last few pics of Carson with his eyes open... SO CUTE!!! So, I just had Austin's 2 month appt, and at 8 weeks old, he is just BARELY bigger than your babe. haha. Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if Carson is actually bigger. I hope I don't have a midget on my hands. ;) So, looking at those birthday pics with all the friends makes me so sad I wasn't there! Sometimes I wish I lived closer so I could still attend things. But, I hope you had a good birthday. Too bad I'm not in Salt Lake this week. I would come and lay on the couch all day long with you!! I hope you have a less eventful week this week. I'll call you next time I'm down that way! Love ya.
oh i think he is really really really cute!
Wow, sounds like you were busy, I feel so bad for my kids, they live in the car. by the time we take kids to school, run errands, pick kids up from school, go to piano lessons and back, go to dance class and back, they get pretty sick of it! I need to get over to your place or Carson won't even fit the clothes I got him. I'll give you a call.

Lunch was fun. We felt so bad for ya though! Cute little munchkin. I hope you had a good birthday. Even though he was a sad little baby boy, I'm so glad I got to see him. He's a DOLL. I love him.
Wow, you were busy!!! Doesn't surprise me though, you're always doing something fun! :) I hope I can stop by and see you and the little one soon. I'm excited to move to Salt Lake--hopefully we can get together more often now! He is absolutely adorable!
Hey, sorry I was unable to make it to your bday dinner at Red Robin. I couldn't get out of mutual after all. Looks like you had a fun time though. Its crazy to see so many babies at the birthday dinners now.
