Welcome Back Old Friends...I think!!!

So I have recently welcomed back some of my old friends. Now when these old friends went away a few years ago, I said "Good Riddance" because I had decided that maybe I would never have any use for these friends. Well slowly but surely I am welcoming them back into my closet. Now I'm guessing you are a little confused, but the friends I am talking about are my Maternity Clothes. Yes it is true my fellow bloggers, I am pregnant and the Wilcox family is growing. I really had decided after we had Carson that maybe an only child wouldn't be that bad. I mean really think about it...how easy would that be? I finally came to my senses and decided that would not be fair for my little man Carson who really needs a little friend. At the time I got pregnant I wasn't thinking about the morning sickness, the growing hips, buns, thighs, mid-section, the moodiness, the total exhaustion, you know all that good stuff. Had I remembered, I may not be in the position I am today. Ha Ha. No, in all honesty we really are excited to be having another baby. I'm not sure who is more excited, Carson or Chill. Carson thinks it's great now, but I'm afraid he has no idea what is coming and how much his world is going to change. Now for the exciting part of it all, we found out this week that...

Chill has been positive from the start that we would be having a little girl. Actually most of my family felt that way as well. I am not one of those mom's that has a feeling about what I am having and I decided that I was not going to worry about it because then I would be happy no matter what. I am really happy! There were moments, I'm not going to lie, that I really wanted to have two little boys running around together, but now that it is sinking in all I can think is PINK, PINK, PINK and boy do I love the color pink. So I guess now the word is out and you all know our exciting news. I have been keeping it to myself until I got past the yucky morning sickness crap so that I would be happily enjoying my pregnancy by the time we announced it to everyone. I am 18 weeks along and our little bundle of joy is due on August 13, 2010!

(Who thought it would be a good idea to be pregnant all summer long? Bad planning on our part. Oops!)

Our Bud

Carson is just growing up too fast. He is just the most handsome little dude ever. He is such a GOOD boy and has quite the personality. He keeps me laughing all the time. Sometimes I think he is too smart for his own good (and mine). It is scary sometimes how much this kid knows. It is so fun that he talks so much because he says the funniest things. Sometimes I wonder how I got so lucky to have such a cute kid! I just adore my little bud!

Chill tried to convince me one day that Carson's favorite type of music is Classical. I've never seen him dance like this to Classical music!!

You know it's been a while when...

Okay so I had a little wake up call this week when I got a text from my brother saying my blog was pathetic. I already knew it was, but when Brent notices....you know it's bad. I decided to get back on and give some updates. I could sit and make up excuses as to why I haven't blogged, but let's be honest...PURE LAZINESS!!!

Holiday Craziness

Here is the shortened version of our Holidays. Yes although the holiday season is just a memory now, we did have a great time with our families. Christmas for us is always busy because we divide our time between Chill's family and my family. Although it is busy it is always a ton of fun. Carson and I spent the week after Christmas with my family in Bear Lake relaxing and celebrating New Years. Both of us got some type of stomach bug so we spent lots of our time in bed feeling pretty crappy. It's all good though it was fun to be with family.

The Case of the Missing Onesies Solved

So I seriously thought I was losing my mind. Last week after I did the laundry I was folding Carson's clothes and put them in the laundry basket to put away later. I hate putting laundry away so I put it off as long as I can. Anyway later that day I went to the basket looking for a onesie to put on Carson and I couldn't find any. (Yes Carson still wears onesies so that he can't pull down his diaper or take it off!) I knew I had folded at least 3 white onesies but I could not find them anywhere. I seriously looked in every possible place. I was so confused and decided I I lost my mind. I asked Chill if he had taken them (but I knew he hadn't because what would he do with the onesies?) So I finally just decided that they were gone and I had no idea what happened to them. WELL...just over a week and a half later I found those dang onesies. Yesterday I grabbed the lysol wipes to clean the counters and I reached in there and low and behold...the missing onesies were stuffed inside the container. See...I knew I wasn't crazy. I now remember that Carson was playing with the lysol wipes at the time, but I never saw him put those dang onesies in there. Ha ha... what a funny boy!

One Big Tree

It's that time of year again-time to get a Christmas tree. We have a little tradition with Chillin's family and we go on a big adventure and cut down our own tree. We haven't been able to go the past couple of years so I was excited that we could make it. I was really excited when I found out the weather was going to be good. I HATE to be wet and cold. It's just not my thing. Chill was working so Carson and I rode up with Chillin's mom and brother. He made the trip up to the Uintahs and had a great time. Carson looked so cute in his snow suit but it reminded me a little of A Christmas Story. I had the poor kid all bundled up. Carson got to ride on a snowmobile for the first time and of course had a blast. He loves to ride on things that go fast. Carson spent much of the day with Grandpa Doug and he couldn't have been happier. Claudia and Doug cut down a tree for us and it was one big tree. We had to cut most of it off, but it still looks great. I just love the smell of real trees in my house. Chill made it up right about the time we were heading out. We went to Chill's aunts cabin to sit by the fire and eat some soup.

We hurried home so that we could spend the evening with my family celebrating Nat and Jared's birthday. We of course went to Robintinos for dinner then had yummy cupcakes and opened presents. It was so fun to have them home so that we could celebrate. They weren't hear long enough, but they will be back in the middle of December for Christmas.

Yummy Yummy Turkey

All I can say is Yum! Thanksgiving this year was wonderful. We spent Thanksgiving at my parents house and we had a great day. It was so fun for all of us to be together. My brother came from Idaho and my sister and her family made the LONG drive from Arizona. Carson and I spent Wednesday night at my parents (Chill was of course on call at the hospital) and we all stayed up way too late catching up. On Thanksgiving day we all helped get everything together and I made a sweet potato casserole which was tasty! I had it pretty easy I'd say. The turkey turned out just perfect and we all ate way too much. I just love the holidays and can't wait for Christmas!
