2 Month Appointment

So I can't believe that Carson is already over 2 months old. Time has just flown by. He is just the cutest little dude ever. I just adore his smile and all the little coos! I just love being at home with him and just watching him. We took him in for his 2 month check up and he weighs 10 lbs 9 oz. and is about 23 3/4 inches long. I thought for sure he would weight more than that and I was worried that he either wasn't getting enough to eat or that my milk is just not creamy enough. Ha Ha. Well the doctor was not concerned about it at all and just said that Carson is long and thin like his dad. Carson also had to get his shots and he was not happy. It was so sad because he was just screaming and then it turned into such a sad cry. Chill just held him and he cried himself to sleep. Carson is a very healthy little guy but he does have a little reflux so we have to give him some medicine everyday. I sure hope it helps because I just feel bad for the little guy. The pharmacist was giving me instructions on the medicine and she told me to make sure we give both medications about 1/2 hour before he eats. I'm thinking to myself, yeah right, have you seen this kid when he wakes up. He acts like he hasn't eaten for days. Like I could really get him to hang tight for a half hour before I feed him. So I just try and distract him for a few minutes, but then I have to give in and feed him. I'm sure it is all fine and dandy. One of the medications makes him really drowsy so he is always tired. It is nice sometimes, but other times I feel like I'm just drugging my poor baby. He has to have his meds though so he can get better!!! After we got home from the doctor Chill got in the bath with Carson so that we could massage his legs where he got his shots. Carson seemed to love it. He was so tired (you can tell by the red eyes), but he was so relaxed and just loved being in the tub. Then it was off to bed and Carson slept 7 1/2 hours (I'm sure it had something to with not only the shots, but the drowsy medication). I'm so happy that Carson is doing so well. He is growing and developing and it is so fun to watch.
