Our Little Christmas

We decided that the easiest way to do Christmas this year was to have Christmas a little early in Minnesota with just our little family so we didn't have to ship all our gifts to Utah.  We talked to Carson about it and he decided he would write Santa a letter and give it to our elf Glider to deliver to the North Pole.  The only morning Chill would be around was December 16 so that is when we decided to have it.  Carson wrote a nice letter to Santa, and Santa responded that he would visit our house the night of December 15th.  That meant I had to put it in high gear to get everything ready for our early Christmas.  We of course pulled it off and everything went great.  We had a fun Christmas Eve at home.  The kids had a snowball fight with dad (using cotton balls) which they loved and then we had dinner, opened pjs, read out of the Bible and read some Christmas stories, watched a little video from Santa to the kids, and went for a drive to look at Christmas lights.  The kids were very excited and the best part was they both just wanted a surprise for Christmas which made it VERY easy.  To bed the kids went and Chill and I stayed up until 2 getting everything ready. As most parents know, the kids are up and ready to go early...I was feeding Max at 5:30 when I heard Carson yelling from downstairs that it was Christmas.  Chill and I decided we couldn't tell him to go back to bed so awake we all were!  It was really fun though because Carson was so dang excited.  He loved every minute of it and both the kids were happy and satisfied with everything they got!  Max....well he was just happy to be alive!  He was super easy this Christmas!
