I am loving that Carson is 18 (almost 19) months old. He is so much fun and becoming much more independent which makes my life easier in some aspects and harder in others. As fun as it is, I feel a little sad (little being the key word) that he is no longer a baby. It is weird for me to think that I have a toddler now, but boy is he a cute one. I took him in for he check up a few weeks ago and he is weighing in at a whoppin 20.5 lbs! I know ...I try to put some lbs on this kid but it just isn't happening. He was 20.1 lbs 3 months ago. He is now in the 1st percentile for weight. He is 33 1/4 inches tall and has grown about 2 inches in 3 months. He is in the 80th percentile for height. Tall and skinny. Carson definitely has a few favorite things, his blue blanket and bear which he has to know where they are at all times. He also loves chocolate milk, nutri grain bars, broccoli, dogs, horses, pumpkins, helicopters, airplanes, deer and much much more. He is talking so well and loves to read books. He also loves his grandpas a lot, but grandmas, aunts and uncles come in at a close second. He loves to walk around in other peoples shoes and he loves electronics of any kind. We've been pretty lucky because Carson is not much of a climber. He is a very busy boy but he is also very cautious. He still manages to always have a bump, a bruise, or a cut somewhere though. One thing that Carson does not like is nursery. I was so excited for him to hit 18 months just for that reason. One thing I did not know was that Carson and I would be going to nursery together every week. As long as I am in the room he is fine, but the minute I head for the door, total melt down. Someday right???

So about a month ago Carson was eating grapes and when I walked in the room I noticed he was launching them out of his mouth and into a bowl. Hurried and grabbed my camera and this is what I could get. Before the camera was out he got it in the bowl every time.
I know it's been forever. Life is busy and my blog just isn't a priority. Things for in the Wilcox home are going well. Chill is on a week long break right now which is great. He has spent much of his time hunting and will continue to do so until the end of the week. I have been working like crazy. We are really busy right now so I feel like I am working non-stop around the clock. Thanks to my family and Chill's family who are always willing to take Carson when I have to run into work!
We were able to spend last weekend in Wyoming with Chill's family. We had such a great time. Carson and I spent our time in the cabin with Claudia while the boys were out hunting in the rain and snow. We were able to relax and listen to conference. Brett had a lot of success and shot an elk and a buck. Carson is seriously obssessed with deer! We have some European mounts (I think that is what they are called) out in our shed and we have to go back and look at them about 3 times a week no joke! When I saw what Brett had shot I was all grossed out by the dead animals but not Carson. He had to be up close and personal with them. He was petting them and looking at them. He's a brave little man. I guess it's in his blood. I actually felt like I was on vacation too because Doug took care of Carson most of the time. It was great! Not much has changed since the last time I posted. I am having so much fun running around chasing Carson all day. He is such a fun kid and keeps me laughing. Life is good so I can't complain!
